Prof. Dr. Ashraf El-Araby, President of the Institute of National Planning, witnessed the activities of the closing session to present the report of the external review team for integrated quality management systems, whether those that are being renewed are the ISO 9001: 2015 quality management certificates, and the ISO 21001: 2018 educational and research institutions management, or the specifications that the institute seeks To obtain them, which are the international standard for occupational safety and health ISO 45001: 2018, and the international standard for environmental management – ISO 14001: 2015, in the presence of Mr. Major General Dr. Ismail Naji, head of the external review team for international standards, and Mr. Eng. And Mr. Prof. Dr. Aladdin Zahran – supervisor of quality and institutional development activities at the institute and a group of scientific and administrative staff.
In his speech, Al-Arabi stressed the need to establish a culture of quality in thought and behavior as sustainable practices in the institute, because faith is what acknowledges the heart and sincerity of work. All employees to enable them to face transformations and challenges at the same time, stressing that this step is the culmination of the tireless efforts made by all employees of the institute from the scientific body and the administrative apparatus, in addition to the quality team and process owners from various departments and scientific and technical centers at the institute to prepare and build a quality system befitting its position The Institute and its long history, to be a starting point towards further improvement and development to achieve the Institute’s vision and mission.
In this same context, Mrs. Dr. Heba Allah Ezz, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, reviewed the efforts made by the quality team at the institute in cooperation with scientific departments and centers, which included defining the goals of integrated quality, assessing the current situation of the institute’s environment, re-studying the environment integrated for the institute, and holding training courses A specialist for the scientific and administrative apparatus of the Institute, and the preparation of a study for waste management and recycling opportunities, thanking all the staff of the Institute for their tireless cooperation, stressing that the Institute of National Planning’s obtaining of these prestigious certificates is the result of a joint effort and teamwork aimed at creating a positive environment that ultimately contributes to the development Work and administrative performance.
Major General Dr. Ismail Naji, head of the external review team for international quality standards, praised the role of senior management in supporting the activities and quality teams at the Institute, following the continuous improvement approach, and the efforts made by various departments, scientific and technical centers and employees of the Institute, and that the Institute during a short period witnessed a quantum leap in All the activities he carries out, which is a matter of pride and pride, indicating the need for some corrective measures and points of improvement in some of the activities he carries out based on the review and evaluation processes.
Eng. Nader Shadeed, General Manager of the Quality Services Office for the Middle East and Africa, QCS, presented the final result of the external review process and the recommendation to grant the institute two certificates of the international standard for quality in the field of occupational safety and health 45001: 2018 ISO and the international standard for environmental management – 14001: 2015 ISO, as well as Renewal of the ISO 9001: 2015 international standard for quality management certificates, and ISO 21001: 2018 educational and research institutions management certificates, which the institute had previously obtained in previous years.
